This album represents sort of a last hurrah at Retrograde Manor, the apartment in which Seth Terrell, Ingrid French, and I lived. After Ingrid (and Julia, we miss you!) moved out, Seth and I converted the extra bedroom into a small makeshift studio. Seth was about to move to a new place. I would soon be relocating to Portland. One night we got kinda lit, grabbed a tape machine, and recorded a few songs.

It's way janky, very unpolished, and a little sad, but captures some of the rawness of the time: us getting ready to leave a place which we had lived in for more than four years, a place that had shaped us into different people, a place with individual and shared experiences, pleasant and unkind and beautiful and heartbreaking.

Time it was, and what a time it was, it was.
